Opposition Watch : Algeria not Looking Good

Algeria Senior Football team begins preparation with serious drama as they camp in Sidi Moussa (Algiers) before facing Nigeria next Saturday in Uyo,the occurence of injuries is a call to worry about for the Fennecs.

Four imprtant players are announced uncertain due to injuries for the match day two of Russia 2018 world cup qualifiers in Caf zone.

It comes to Fawzi Ghulam, Ryad Boudebouz, Hilal Soudani, and Rachid Ghezzal.

Ghulam and Boudebouz joined the national team after playing for Napoli (Italy) and Montpellier (France) respectively.


Better, Boudebouz scored a brace against Olympique Marseille in French Ligue 1 which made him to be named best player of the match.
For their part, Soudani and Ghezzal didn't finish their matches with Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) and Lyon (France) respectively.


The medical staff of Algeria will decide in few hours if those players will be available for selection.
On the other hand, Mehdi Tahrat (Angers/France), is also doubtful.

Previously, Adam Ounas (Bordeaux/France), could not honour his first call up because of an injury sustained early in the week against Marseille, making him unavailable for at least two weeks.


As for Nacereddine Khoualed, the central defender of USM Alger was a victim of a fracture of the fibula at the Algeria Supercup last Tuesday.
He will be inactive for a period of 4 to 5 months, announced his club after the surgical operation undergone by the player.

Remember that Islam Slimani missed two games last week before resuming this weekend with Leicester and Nabil Bentaleb also creates a fright by falling on his knee on Thursday before resuming Club duty yesterday.
