KATSINA, Nigeria — Katsina United host Enyimba tonight in the only match of NPFL matchday eight, at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium. Kick-off is 17:00 WAT. The game is live on the NPFL and MBI channels.
It is the Friday-night slot of a ten-game round. Saturday has Ikorodu City against Kwara United and Ranchers Bees against Niger Tornadoes. Sunday has the other seven, including Barau against Rangers.
Enyimba arrive looking for a third league win in a row. After a 0-0 with Kano Pillars, Emmanuel Deutsch’s side beat Shooting Stars 4-2 and Plateau United 2-0. The nine-time champions have 7 points from seven games, 16th, with nine scored and ten conceded. Deutsch has told his players not to let the two wins change the approach.
Katsina are 11th, on 9 points from seven: two wins, three draws, two defeats, six scored and nine conceded. Recent form is a draw, a draw, a win, a defeat and a win. Home is the advantage. The table does not give them much of one.
The sides have split recent meetings. Enyimba won 3-0 in April. Katsina won 3-2 in November 2025 and 2-1 in February 2025. Tonight is the eighth round of 2026/27, not a reunion of last season’s table.
One game, one city, 17:00. The rest of matchday eight waits until Saturday.
