Algeria produced a composed second-half turnaround to eliminate Côte d’Ivoire and reach the WAFCON last four for the first time in their history.
Inès Konan gave the Ivorians a deserved lead in the 29th minute, finishing bravely from close range after the goalkeeper parried a shot into her path.
The Fennecs responded strongly after the break. Inès Khiri levelled the scores in the 58th minute with a speculative long-range effort that deceived the goalkeeper, before Amira Ould Braham completed the comeback six minutes later with another strike from distance that sealed a historic victory.
The result also marked Algeria’s first-ever qualification for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Morocco 2-1 South Africa

Hosts Morocco edged former champions South Africa in a tense and physical encounter to continue their strong home campaign.
Sakina Ouzraoui opened the scoring in the 31st minute with a sublime first-time finish, reacting quickest inside the area to guide the ball beyond Kaylin Swart.
Six minutes after the restart, Hanane Aït El Haj doubled the lead from the penalty spot after a foul was awarded inside the area.
South Africa reduced the deficit in the 67th minute through Thembi Kgatlana, who cut in from the left and unleashed a fierce strike. Despite sustained late pressure from Banyana Banyana, Morocco held firm to secure the win.
Both Morocco and Algeria now advance to the semi-finals on Wednesday, 12 August, with the dual incentive of competing for the continental title and preparing for their appearance at the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
