Chawinga levelled the contest in the 12th minute with a powerful strike from the edge of the area after Ghana had taken an early lead. She later delivered the decisive cross that allowed Rose Kadzere to complete the comeback in the 79th minute.
Her lwork rate and clinical contribution once again proved decisive as Malawi secured a historic place in the semi-finals and automatic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
