According to the draw, Power Dynamos will travel to face Al Merreikh in the first leg between 4 and 6 September, before hosting the return fixture a week later.
The winner over two legs will advance to the next stage, where they will meet either JS Saoura of Algeria or Horoya FC of Guinea. Those ties are scheduled for the windows of 16-18 October (first leg) and 23-25 October (second leg).
Power Dynamos produced an impressive campaign in last season’s CAF Champions League, progressing all the way to the group stage. The Zambian side will now look to navigate another tough preliminary path as they aim to return to the group phase of Africa’s premier club competition.
