DURBAN, South Africa — Orlando Pirates defender Lebone Seema has been named Man of the Match following the Buccaneers’ convincing 3-0 victory over Chippa United in the Betway Premiership.
Seema produced an influential display at Kings Park Stadium, contributing both defensively and in attack. The centre-back scored Pirates’ second goal in the 64th minute, powering home a header from a corner to put the visitors firmly in control.
Standing Tall
In addition to his goal, Seema was solid at the back as Pirates kept a clean sheet. His aerial ability, reading of the game and composure helped the side maintain control after a goalless first half.
The award recognises a complete performance that underpinned Pirates’ second-half dominance, with goals from Ghampani Lungu, Seema and Daniel Msendami securing a valuable three points.
The result lifted Orlando Pirates level on points with Kaizer Chiefs at the top of the early Betway Premiership standings.
