Geita Gold, who earned promotion to the Tanzanian top flight after winning the second-tier title last season, will look to the experienced goalkeeper to help them establish themselves in the Premier League.
Bankole built a strong reputation during his time with Remo Stars in the Nigeria Premier Football League, where he kept numerous clean sheets and earned recognition as one of the competition’s top goalkeepers. He also received a call-up to the Super Eagles during his period in the NPFL.
The move to East Africa offers the 23-year-old a fresh opportunity to restart his career after spending nearly a year without competitive appearances. Geita Gold will be hoping his experience between the posts proves valuable as they prepare for life back in the Tanzanian top division.
