PRETORIA, South Africa — Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed the permanent signing of midfielder Katlego “Tsiki” Ntsabeleng following the successful completion of his season-long loan from Major League Soccer side FC Dallas.
The Brazilians exercised their purchase option on the 28-year-old, ensuring he remains at Chloorkop beyond the end of his temporary stay. Sundowns officially welcomed the player back with the message that he will “continue his journey in Yellow.”
Loan Impact
Ntsabeleng joined Sundowns at the start of the 2025/26 campaign and made 14 appearances across all competitions. He contributed two goals and one assist, showing enough quality and adaptability under head coach Miguel Cardoso to convince the club to make the deal permanent.
The midfielder’s ability to operate in advanced areas, combined with his work rate and technical quality, earned him regular opportunities in a competitive squad.
Journey Back Home
Born in Daveyton, Ntsabeleng’s path has come full circle. He came through the Sundowns youth system before spending time in Kaizer Chiefs’ development ranks. He later moved to the United States, featuring for college sides before being selected 28th overall in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft by FC Dallas.
Over four seasons in Major League Soccer, he recorded 92 appearances, scoring two goals and providing seven assists. His return to South Africa on loan last season marked a significant homecoming, and the permanent switch now ties him to the club long-term.

With the deal confirmed, Ntsabeleng becomes part of Sundowns’ plans for the new season as the reigning CAF Champions League holders prepare for another demanding campaign on both domestic and continental fronts.
