KIGALI, Rwanda — German coach Josef Zinnbauer has arrived in Kigali to officially begin work as the new head coach of Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman.
The 56-year-old touched down in Rwanda on Tuesday and will now take charge of the club’s preparations for the new season.
Zinnbauer has signed a two-year contract with Al Hilal, the most successful club in Sudanese football history. The appointment marks a new chapter for the Blue and White as they continue their preparations amid the ongoing challenges of operating away from their traditional base due to the situation in Sudan.
The experienced coach, who has previously managed clubs including Orlando Pirates, Raja Casablanca and JS Kabylie, now turns his attention to building the squad and preparing Al Hilal for the challenges ahead, including their CAF Champions League campaign.
