OMDURMAN, Sudan — Al Hilal have officially confirmed the departure of coach Guy Bukasa.
The club has thanked the Congolese tactician for his contribution during his time with the side. Bukasa guided Al Hilal to a third-place finish at the CECAFA Kagame Cup, a respectable result that highlighted his work with the squad.
His exit comes after earlier indications that he preferred to pursue a first-team head coaching role rather than continue in an assistant capacity or take charge of the club’s reserve side. Al Hilal had hoped to retain his services, but Bukasa has now moved on.
The departure marks the end of his spell with the Sudanese giants. Al Hilal will now turn their attention to restructuring the technical setup as they prepare for upcoming domestic and continental commitments.
Bukasa leaves with the experience of helping the team secure a podium finish in the regional competition and will now decide on his next career step.
