Cassius Mailula Returns Home to Mamelodi Sundowns

PRETORIA, South Africa — Cassius Mailula is back at Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Brazilians have officially confirmed the return of the forward, who first rose to prominence at Chloorkop before embarking on a spell abroad.

Mailula, who previously impressed with his goalscoring form for Masandawana, has rejoined the club after ending his time with Major League Soccer side Toronto FC. He had also spent loan periods at Wydad Athletic Club and Belgian club KV Kortrijk during his time away.

The club announced the homecoming with a warm message: “A familiar face returns to where it all began. Cassius Mailula is back in yellow, ready for a new chapter with The Brazilians.”

Supporters have been invited to welcome the attacker back as he prepares for the new season in the yellow and blue of Sundowns.
