Alpha Onyango Returns to Boost Gor Mahia Ahead of Kagame Cup Final

NAIROBI, Kenya — Gor Mahia have received a significant boost with the return of experienced midfielder Alpha Onyango as the club prepare for the CECAFA Kagame Cup final.

Onyango is fully fit and ready to feature as K’Ogalo step up preparations for Friday’s showdown against Rayon Sports FC at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali on 7 August.

The midfielder’s comeback adds quality, depth and experience to coach Charles Akonnor’s squad at a crucial stage of the competition. Onyango missed Gor Mahia’s semi-final victory over Al-Hilal SC on Tuesday after serving a suspension following a straight red card against Djibouti’s Garde Républicaine in their final Group A match.

His return strengthens the midfield engine room as Gor Mahia aim to lift the regional title against the Rwandan side.
