Winger Shariff Musa and versatile defender Paul Ochuoga are both on the radar of the Omdurman-based club as they look to strengthen their squad.
Musa, who emerged as one of K’Ogalo’s standout performers during the recent CECAFA Kagame Cup, has been a long-term target for Al Merreikh. Interest in the attacking player intensified following his impressive displays at the regional tournament. Reports indicate the Sudanese side first monitored him towards the end of last month and have now stepped up their pursuit.
Ochuoga, who is capable of operating at both right-back and left-back, has also drawn attention due to his energetic and consistent performances for Gor Mahia. His ability to contribute in both defensive and attacking phases has made him an attractive option for Al Merreikh’s recruitment team.
Whether Gor Mahia will sanction any departures remains to be seen. The Kenyan champions are expected to demand substantial offers before considering the sale of either player, particularly given their importance to the squad.
Al Merreikh already have a former Gor Mahia star in their ranks after successfully signing midfielder Enock Morrison earlier this year, shortly after he was named the Kenyan Premier League’s Most Valuable Player.
