Rabat, Morocco – The Confederation of African Football has announced an extensive global broadcasting network for the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026, marking a significant milestone in the visibility of African women’s football.
The 16-team tournament, which kicks off on 26 July 2026 in Rabat, will enjoy unprecedented international exposure through a range of major broadcasters. For the first time, matches will be shown live in the United Kingdom on Channel 4.
Major broadcasting partnerships secured
DAZN has acquired rights for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and surrounding territories, also making its debut with the competition. Long-term partner beIN Sports will cover the MENA region and North America, while CANAL+ takes responsibility for Francophone Sub-Saharan Africa. Ziggo Sport will broadcast in the Netherlands and AZAM Media in East Africa.
SuperSport remains a key pay-TV platform for Sub-Saharan satellite distribution. Additionally, more than 18 free-to-air networks will bring the action to audiences across the continent, including AfroSport and NTA in Nigeria, SABC in South Africa, KBC in Kenya, GBC in Ghana, and host broadcaster SNRT in Morocco.
Tournament promises record prize money and excitement
The expanded WAFCON 2026 runs from 26 July to 16 August. Winners will receive a record $2,000,000 in prize money, reflecting CAF’s commitment to growing the women’s game.
Opening fixtures on 26 July see Algeria face Senegal at 17:00 GMT, followed by hosts Morocco against Kenya at 20:00 GMT. The increased number of teams and financial incentives are expected to elevate the quality and competitiveness of the tournament.
