Transfer News: Diomande prioritises PSG and Real Madrid as Leipzig hold firm on high valuation

RB Leipzig’s highly rated 19-year-old Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande remains the subject of intense interest from Europe’s elite clubs, with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid currently at the forefront of the race.

Diomande, who joined Leipzig from Leganés in 2025 for around €20 million, enjoyed a breakthrough 2025-26 campaign, contributing 12 goals and multiple assists in the Bundesliga as the club secured Champions League qualification. He is under contract until 2030.

• Real Madrid submitted an opening offer of €90 million fixed plus €10 million in add-ons. RB Leipzig rejected the package, according to multiple reports including Sky Sports Germany and Fabrizio Romano.
• Leipzig are understood to be seeking a fee in excess of €100 million, with some reports placing their valuation closer to €120-130 million.
• Paris Saint-Germain remain Diomande’s preferred destination. The player reached a verbal agreement on personal terms with the French champions several weeks ago on a long-term contract running to 2031. Formal negotiations over a transfer fee between the two clubs are ongoing but have yet to produce an agreement.
