Ebingha finished sixth in a time of 55.45 seconds, narrowly missing qualification for the semifinals.
Adama, who had earlier secured a place in the men’s 50m freestyle semifinal, returned to the pool shortly afterwards and placed seventh in 55.81 seconds.
Both athletes continue their campaigns at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre as Team Nigeria looks to progress further in the aquatics programme.
