Robinson’s original winning time would have marked a significant breakthrough for the 24-year-old, improving on his previous outdoor personal best of 44.47 set in 2023. The disqualification, confirmed after a review for a lane violation, reversed the result.
Bailey, the 2025 World Indoor champion, claimed his first outdoor national title. McRae, who had led the heats with a strong 44.65, held on for second in a tightly contested race at Icahn Stadium.
