The confirmation of the title came on May 2, 2026, following a decisive 2-0 victory over Ternana at the Stadio Tre Fontane. This triumph marks a third Scudetto for the AS Roma Women's team in the last four years, highlighting their dominance in Italian women's football. For Babajide and Oladipo, securing this league title in their debut season with the club is a remarkable achievement that underscores their seamless transition and significant impact on the squad.
Throughout the campaign, both players have been integral to Roma's success. Oladipo has been a consistent presence in the defensive line, providing composure and tactical discipline, while Babajide has brought her characteristic flair and attacking threat to the forward line. Their contributions have been vital in helping Roma navigate a demanding season and remain competitive across all domestic fronts.
For Nigerian fans, this win serves as another proud moment, as two of the country's brightest talents add a prestigious European trophy to their growing collections. After achieving glory in Morocco during the 2025 WAFCON tournament, Babajide and Oladipo are now proving that their quality translates to the highest levels of club football.
AS Roma remain focused as they pursue a potential domestic double, with the Coppa Italia final still on the horizon. However, for now, the club and its Nigerian stars can bask in the glory of a well-deserved Serie A title, having etched their names into the history books of one of Italy's most prominent clubs. This successful debut season for the duo is a clear indication that the future of Nigerian women's football on the global stage is in safe hands.
