Super Falcons captain and Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie continued her excellent form in the Barclays Women’s Super League with another clean sheet as the Seagulls secured a narrow 1-0 away victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday.
The Nigerian shot-stopper was largely a spectator throughout the match, with Brighton’s defence putting in a disciplined and organised display to keep Leicester — the league’s lowest scorers — completely at bay. Nnadozie did not face a single shot on target, but her presence and command of the area contributed to a solid backline performance.
The only goal of the game came from Kiko Seike, who struck in the second half to give Brighton all three points and lift them into the top half of the table.
Clean Sheet Milestone
This result marks Nnadozie’s sixth clean sheet of the 2025/26 WSL season, moving her into joint second place for the most clean sheets in the league. She now trails only Hannah Hampton of Chelsea Women by a single clean sheet.
It is also her second consecutive clean sheet, following her shutout in Brighton’s goalless draw against Liverpool the previous week.
Strong Season for the Super Falcons Keeper
Nnadozie has been one of Brighton’s most consistent performers this campaign. Her shot-stopping ability, leadership from the back, and growing influence have helped the Seagulls remain competitive in the top flight.
With several games still to play, the 25-year-old Nigerian international will be aiming to add more clean sheets and help Brighton push for a strong finish to the season.
Congratulations to Chiamaka Nnadozie and the entire Brighton squad on a professional away win and another important shutout!
