Ismaïla Sarr gave Crystal Palace a deserved lead in the 9th minute, capitalizing on a set-piece scramble to put the hosts ahead. Liverpool pushed relentlessly for an equalizer, and it finally came late in the game when substitute Federico Chiesa scored in the 87th minute to level the scores.
