Japan's Rachid Muratake has made history by becoming the first Japanese man to break the 13-second barrier in the 110m hurdles. At the Athlete Night Games in Fukui, he ran a blistering new personal best and national record of 12.92s, cementing his place as one of the top hurdlers in the world.
The incredible performance not only secured a new Japanese national record but also makes Muratake the second-fastest Asian man in history, surpassed only by the legendary Chinese hurdler, Liu Xiang.
Muratake's time of 12.92s is also the second-fastest in the world this year, trailing only Cordell Tinch of the United States. His performance highlights his exceptional form as he continues to build on a breakout season, establishing himself as a major contender on the international stage.
