Nweke Storms to First Senior Gold at CAA Region 2 Championships!

Chioma Cynthia Nweke has triumphantly capped off a remarkable breakthrough season by winning her first senior medal for Nigeria, and it's a gold one. The sprinter became the new women's 100m champion at the CAA Region 2 Championships.

Nweke blazed down the track to clinch the title with an impressive time of 11.62 seconds.

It was a dominant performance for Team Nigeria, as Nweke led a fantastic 1-2 finish. Her compatriot, Olayinka Olajide, secured the silver medal, crossing the line in 11.72 seconds. Rounding out the podium was Gambia's Isatou Sey, who claimed the bronze with a time of 12.00 seconds.
