Keely Hodgkinson Returns with a Bang, Sets World Lead and Meet Record in Silesia 800m

In her first race since claiming Olympic Gold in Paris, Great Britain's Keely Hodgkinson made a spectacular return to the track, storming to victory in the women's 800m at the Silesia Diamond League. Hodgkinson not only won the race but did so in dominant fashion, setting a new World Lead and a Meet Record with a blistering time of 1:54.75.

The race was a masterclass in elite-level running, with several athletes posting record-breaking times. Kenya's Lillian Odira ran a personal best of 1:56.52 to finish second, while Oratile Nowe of Botswana set a new national record with her third-place finish in 1:56.76. Even further down the field, Australia's Claudia Hollingsworth in fifth place broke a continental record, setting a new Oceania record with a time of 1:57.67.

Hodgkinson's sensational performance so soon after her Olympic triumph proves that she is in a class of her own and sets a new benchmark for the rest of the season.
