LAGOS, NIGERIA – August 2, 2025 – In a powerful testimony that has resonated with many, Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade shared a moving story of her journey from humble beginnings to continental football glory. Speaking at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries' (MFM) monthly program, 'Power Must Change Hands,' the newly crowned WAFCON Player of the Tournament revealed that her path to success was built on hard work, faith, and the unwavering support of her church.
During her testimony, Ajibade recalled a time when she used to sell olive oil, zobo, and kunnu drinks during special programs at MFM's Prayer City. This poignant story served as a powerful backdrop to her message of perseverance, demonstrating how a young girl with a dream and a strong belief in God could rise to become a national icon.
She used her platform to give all glory to God and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the General Overseer, Dr. D.K. Olukoya, and the church's pastors for their constant prayerful support. Her message to the congregation was one of inspiration: to never give up, to believe in the power of God, and to trust that He will answer their prayers.
Ajibade's testimony comes just a week after she captained the Super Falcons to an incredible come-from-behind victory against Morocco, clinching a record tenth WAFCON title in a thrilling 3-2 final. Her exceptional leadership and stellar performances throughout the tournament earned her three "Woman of the Match" awards and the prestigious title of Player of the Tournament.
