Flying Eagles Edge Past Niger on Penalties to Reach WAFU Zone B U20 Final

Nigeria's U20 men’s team, the Flying Eagles, have secured a hard-fought place in the final of the WAFU Zone B U20 Boys Competition after edging out Niger Republic 4-3 on penalties following a goalless draw in regulation time.

The tightly contested semi-final ended 0-0 after 90 minutes of play, with both sides unable to find the breakthrough. The match was ultimately decided from the spot, where the Flying Eagles held their nerve to triumph.

Nigeria converted four of their five penalties, while Niger stumbled early with two missed attempts, falling just short in a dramatic finish.

With the victory, Nigeria advances to the final and will now await the winner of the second semi-final clash between Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire.

The Flying Eagles will now aim to lift the regional title as they continue their preparation towards continental and global tournaments.
