Plateau United Appoint Oluwashola Adegun as New Head Coach

Plateau United FC have officially named Oluwashola Adegun as their new head coach, replacing Mbwas Mangut as the Jos-based club begins preparations for a fresh chapter.

Adegun steps into the role with an impressive résumé rooted in youth development and technical growth. He was most recently the head coach of Sporting Lagos Football Academy, where he also oversaw the senior team following their relegation from the NPFL and the departure of Abdullahi Biffo.

A respected figure in Nigerian grassroots football, Adegun has built his reputation through stints at several elite academies including:

  • Mees Palace FA – Former Technical Director

  • AS Roma Academy, Abuja – Assistant Technical Director

He also holds a UEFA C coaching license, underscoring his technical pedigree and commitment to continuous growth.
