American shot putter Payton Otterdahl delivered a commanding performance at the Iron Wood Classic, claiming victory with a massive throw of 22.09 metres.
Otterdahl was in top form, registering two throws over the 22-metre mark, showcasing both consistency and power. His winning effort saw him finish ahead of fellow American Roger Steen, who took second place with a strong 21.68m throw.
Rounding out the podium was Nick Ponzio of Italy, whose best effort of 21.04m secured him third place in a competitive field.
Otterdahl’s performance further cements his status as one of the leading shot putters in the world heading into the summer season.
