Spain Edge France 5–4 in Nations League Thriller to Reach Final
Spain have booked their place in the UEFA Nations League final after an electrifying 5–4 victory over France in a dramatic semi-final clash.
La Roja came out firing, racing to a stunning 4–0 lead within the opening hour thanks to goals from Nico Williams (22'), Mikel Merino (25'), and a quickfire double from Lamine Yamal (54’ pen, 67’), with Pablo González also getting on the scoresheet in the 55th minute.
France, however, refused to go down without a fight. Kylian Mbappé sparked the comeback with a 59th-minute penalty, followed by goals from Rayan Cherki (79’) and an own goal by Dani Vivian (84’). Randal Kolo Muani added late drama with a 90+3’ strike, but it wasn't enough to deny Spain.
