Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, met with the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon following their international friendly against Nigeria’s Super Falcons, a game they lost by 2-0.
In a commendable gesture of sportsmanship and hospitality, the Governor presented the Cameroonian team with a special cash gift of ₦10 million, equivalent to approximately 3.7 million Central African CFA francs (FCFA).
The meeting took place shortly after the match, as Governor Abiodun lauded the efforts and professionalism of the Lionesses. His gesture was widely praised as a symbol of goodwill and a move to strengthen sporting ties between both nations.
