Sørloth's Record-Breaking Haul Powers Atlético Madrid to 4-0 Victory Over Real Sociedad

In a historic LaLiga encounter at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano, Atlético Madrid's Alexander Sørloth delivered a sensational performance, netting all four goals in a 4-0 triumph over Real Sociedad. The Norwegian striker's remarkable feat included the fastest hat-trick in LaLiga history, achieved within just 11 minutes of play.

Sørloth opened the scoring in the 7th minute, capitalizing on a long pass from Pablo Barrios. He doubled the lead three minutes later with a precise strike from the edge of the box, and completed his hat-trick in the 11th minute with a close-range finish, surpassing the previous record held since 1941. He added a fourth goal in the 30th minute, receiving a pass from Javi Galán before calmly slotting the ball home.

This outstanding performance elevated Sørloth to Atlético's top scorer in LaLiga this season, with 17 goals, surpassing Julián Álvarez. Manager Diego Simeone praised Sørloth's versatility and impact, highlighting his contributions both offensively and defensively.

The victory solidified Atlético Madrid's third-place position in the league standings with 70 points, while Real Sociedad, now winless in their last five matches, remain 12th with 43 points.

Real Sociedad's manager, Imanol Alguacil, took full responsibility for the defeat, acknowledging tactical errors and emphasizing the team's ongoing development and reliance on young talent.

Sørloth's extraordinary display not only secured a vital win for Atlético Madrid but also etched his name into LaLiga history books, marking a memorable chapter in the club's season.
