Nigeria Secures Third Place in Super 6 Group 2 with Victory Over Ireland

Nigeria’s U19 Women’s Cricket Team, the Junior Female Yellow Greens, ended their ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup campaign on a high note with a six-run victory over Ireland.

Batting first, Nigeria posted 94/7 in 20 overs, with disciplined batting performances. In response, Ireland fought hard but fell short, getting bowled out for 88 in 18.4 overs.

With this win, Nigeria finished in third place in Super 6 Group 2. Unfortunately, they did not advance to the semi-finals, as only the top two teams from each Super 6 group progressed.

Despite missing out on a semi-final spot, this performance highlights the growth of Nigeria’s women’s cricket on the global stage. The team has shown resilience and skill, earning respect in their debut World Cup appearance.
