The Confederation of African Football, CAF has slammed a heavy sanction on Senegalese forward Krepin Diatta for accusing the body of being corrupt after Senegal 5-4 loss on penalties to host Côte d'Ivoire in the round of 16 of the just concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The sanctions melted on him has four match suspension, two matches suspension to be held in abeyance, he will miss the next two matches for senegal and has also been fined $16,000 which the FA is mandated to remit.
Recall, Senegal lost 5-4 to host Côte d'Ivoire in the round of 16 of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, after the match ended in a 1-1 draw at extra time, the game went in Favour of the host in penalty shootout, meanwhile, the outcome of the game did not go well with the Senegalese forward, thereby accusing the organisation of being corrupt.
