John McGinn fired the Host to an early lead in the 7th minute of the first half, Bailey starts the move on the right, squeezing between three defenders before continuing his run, so he can get it back from Tielemans. He weaves through players before squaring it to McGinn, who neatly turns to face goal before rifling his shot into the far top corner. The first half ended 1-0.
The second half of the encounter produced no goal despite the push from Mikel Arteta's led side to restore parity to themselves.
Despite the defeat, the Gunners maintained second spot on the log, while Villa are third.
