The Super Eagles of Nigeria were stunned by the the Wild Dogs of Guinea-Bissau on Friday in an Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying matchday 3 game at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja, 1-0 it ended in favour of the Wild Dogs.
Mama Baldé strike in the 29th minute of the encounter to give the West Africans the only goal of the game. Guinea-Bissau defenders did well in their defence, preventing the Super Eagles from scoring in the thrilling encounter.
After matchday 3, Guinea-Bissau leads group A with seven points, while Nigeria dropped to second spot with six points. Sierra Leone and São Tomé and PrÃncipe are third and fourth with two and one points respectively.
Nigeria will face Guinea-Bissau in AFCON Qualifiers matchday 4 on Monday 27th March, 2023 at the Estádio 24 de Setembro in Bissau, the kickoff time is 5:00PM Nigeria Time (+1 GMT).
