U20 AFCON: Flying Eagles beat Mozambique to reach Knockout Stage

By Emmanuel Oladele - On Saturday in the ongoing 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, the Nigeria's Flying Eagles beat their Mozambican counterparts by 2-0 in their final Group Game to advance to the quarter-final of the Tournament in Egypt. Goals from Lawal and Muhammad in the 33rd and 41st minute of the first half were enough to sealed the victory for the Ladan Bosso's led side at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, Egypt. NIGERIA U20 STARTING IX VS MOZAMBIQUE

In the second group A game played on Saturday, Senegal thrashed host Egypt by 4-0 at the Cairo International Stadium.

Meanwhile, Mozambique and Egypt have been eliminated from the tournament, while Senegal and Nigeria advance to the quarter-finals.
