By Emmanuel Oladele - Remo Stars SC defeated Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan by 2-0 in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 3 on Wednesday. Own Goal from Shooting Stars ace Otakho Alexander Aghahowa in the 60th minute, and Godwin Odibo's goal in the 70th minute made the difference.

Remo Stars SC Reliable Defender Oluwasegun Olalere has attributed his team victory to prayer, determination, dedication and team spirit, in a chat with nigfooty.com on Wednesday.

"Well it wasn’t an easy task because it was a derby game, but we won through prayer, determination, dedication and team spirit. God gave us the victory," Olalere told Nigfooty.com on Tuesday night.

Olalere was a key player for Remo Stars in the Southwest Derby, helping the Ikenne based team to secure their third consecutive win in the 2022/23 NPFL Season.

Remo Stars SC have moved to the top of Group A log with nine points, following their 2-0 win over Shooting Stars SC in the Southwest Derby.
