NPFL 2022/23 Season get January Kickoff Date, as Draw hold December 28

By Emmanuel Oladele - In the meeting held on Wednesday between the Clubs Stakeholders and the Interim Management Committee, IMC, the Clubs Stakeholders have kicked against an abridged league format, which means that a the normal league format will be followed.

The 2022/23 season was scheduled to kickoff on December 28 in an abridged format, but that will no longer be possible, the new season will now kick off on 7th January, 2023. Meanwhile, the draw will hold on December 28th, 2022.

Rivers United are the defending Champions, while Doma United, Bayelsa United, El-Kanemi Warriors and Bendel Insurance are the newly promoted teams.
