Photos: Rivers United Crowned NPFL Champions

By Emmanuel Oladele - Rivers United FC of Portharcourt were crowned Champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Sunday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Portharcourt after their season final game against Gombe United, a game where they defeated the Gombe based team by 1-0. Though, the Eguma led side had already won the league before their final game.

The League Chairman Alhaji Shehu Dikko and Rivers State Governor, Barrister Nyesom Wike were present as the Portharcourt based team were presented with the league trophy on Sunday. See photos below;

Rivers United finished top on the NPFL log to emerged Champions, they were ten points clear of Plateau United who finished second. See the league log below after matchday 38;
