2022 WAFCON: Results of the Semi-Final Games played on Monday, Goalscorers and Others

By Emmanuel Oladele - The semi-final stage games of the 2022 Women Africa Cup of Nations were played yesterday (Monday) in Morocco. In the first semi-final game, South Africa defeated the Copper Queens of Zambia by 1-0. Linda Motlhalo scored from the spot in the added time to fire the Banyana Banyana to the final. In the second semi-final game, Morocco handed the defending Champions Super Falcons of Nigeria a shocking defeat in penalty shootout. At the end of extra time the scoreline remained 1-1, and Morocco won 5-4 on penalties. In that game, Super Falcons duo of Halimatu Ayinde and Rasheedat Ajibade were red carded for hard tackles on two Morocco players. The Super Falcons played with 9 Women from the 71st minute in the second half until end of the extra time. See details below;
