Super Eagles: Peseiro Invites Adeleye, Sadiq Umar, Iwobi, 24 Others for 2023 AFCON Qualifiers

By Emmanuel Oladele - Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro has invited 27 players for the Super Eagles next two Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Sierra Leone and São Tomé and Principe. The list has Hapoel Jerusalem FC of Israel Goalkeeper Adebayo Adeleye, Almeria forward Sadiq Umar, Everton midfielder Alex Iwobi and 24 Others. The list consists of 25 foreign based professionals and two home-based stars. See full list below;

Nigeria will host Sierra Leone at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Thursday 9th of June, 2022, at 17:00 Nigerian Time (+1 GMT), before traveling to Morocco where they will trade tackles with São Tomé and Principe at the Adrar Stadium on Monday 13th June, 2022 at 14:00 Nigerian Time (+1 GMT).

Nigeria is in group A alongside Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone and São Tomé and Principe.
