By Emmanuel Oladele - Nigeria's Flamingoes have qualified for the final round of 2022 FIFA U17 World Cup Qualifiers. The Olowokere's led side defeated Egypt by 2-0 on Saturday in Cairo, taking the scoreline to 6-0 on aggregate.
The Flamingoes scored two early goals that shattered the dream of Egypt U17 girls from playing in the world cup. Opeyemi Ajakaye opened scoring for Nigeria in the 5th minute of the first half, as Amina Bello sealed the victory with a super goal in the 14th minute.
The Flamingoes of Nigeria are now through to the final round of the qualifiers.
The 2022 FIFA Women U17 World Cup holds in India between 11-30 October in three different Cities. 16 teams from six Confederations will be taking part in the tournament. Three teams will also be representing Africa.
