Man City humiliates Manchester United in Five-Goal Thriller

By Emmanuel Oladele - Premier League Giants Manchester United were on Sunday humiliated by fellow Neighbours Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Kevin De Bruyne and Riyard Mahrez brace gave the host a superb 4-1 win over Visitors Manchester United.


Kevin De Bruyne opened scoring for City just five minutes into the game, but a superb strike from Jadon Sancho cancelled Manchester City lead in the 22nd minute. Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne restored City's lead in the 28th minute, the Belgian scored from a close range to end the first half of the encounter 2-1 in favour of the host.


In the second half, Manchester City got to a better start just like the first half, following another sublime effort from Algerian star Riyad Mahrez, the forward connected well to Kevin De Bruyne cross to give Pep Guardiola's side a 3-1 lead.

In the first minute of the added time after the regular time, it was Mahrez again who smashes a left-footed shot past De Gea into the top-right corner, Mahrez got a pass from Gundogan to hit the back of the net for the second time in the five-goal thriller.


After the 4-1 loss to Manchester City, United have now gone down to 5th position on the log, giving Arsenal the chance to move to fourth place following their 3-2 win over Watford on Sunday.
