NPFL Matchday 12 Results and League Standings

By Emmanuel Oladele - Ten Games of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 12 were played between Saturday and Sunday across Nigeria. On Saturday, Katsina United recorded a valuable 1-0 win over visitors Kwara United. Enyimba International played a disappointing 1-1 draw against Niger Tornadoes in Aba, while Rivers United thrashed Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in Portharcourt.

On Sunday, struggling Heartland FC were able to pick a point in Uyo in a game with defending Champions Akwa United, following a 0-0 draw. Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium handed in-form Remo Stars the first defeat of the season, as Shooting Stars got a slim 1-0 victory over visitors Dakkada FC in Ibadan. Rangers of Enugu in another game defeated Abia Warriors by 2-1.

Plateau United got the only away win of matchday 12 following a 1-0 stunning of Kano Pillars. See all matchday 12 Results below;

After matchday 12, Rivers United top the league log with 25 points and are closely followed by Plateau United with 24 points. Remo Stars despite defeat in Gombe are in third position, while Rangers International complete the top four spot.
