By Tosin Omojola - Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede, believes the Oluyole Warriors can build on Wednesday's 2-1 win over Kwara United of Ilorin with another victory over MFM of Lagos on Sunday.
After the hard won triumph over the visiting Afonja Warriors, the Ibadan soccer lords, next face bottom of the table, MFM FC in a matchday nine game.
An excited Fakorede, who could not hide his joy after the dramatic win, joined the team in the dressing room to celebrate the victory, which he dedicated to the departed General Manager of the club, Rasheed Baligun.
"I'm impressed by your fighting spirit today but I'm particularly happy that we did for our late GM, Rasheed Balogun, just like I told you to go all out and win this match for him" said the Commissioner who joined in the chants, "Kulekule", as the late GM was fondly called.
"Now I want to encourage you guys to go to Lagos on Sunday and get the job done. There are lots of packages in the bag for you which I will let out after the victory over MFM", hinted the Commissioner.
Asiwaju Fakorede, who has been encouraging the team with his presence in their recent away trips to Aba and Abuja, promised to continue to support the team on behalf of the sport loving governor of the state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, whose support for the team, according to him, is unflinching.
