Iheanacho bags assist as Leicester thrash United in Six-goal Thriller

By Emmanuel Oladele - Nigerian International Kelechi Iheanacho was instrumental to Leicester City 4-2 thrashing of Manchester United on Saturday in premier league matchday 8. The 24-year-old bagged an assist in the 31st minute. Manchester United was trying to play the ball out with De Gea passing to Harry Maguire, the defender was not alerted as Kelechi Iheanacho nick the ball off him, pulling it to Tielemans who chipped the ball to the far post, leaving De Gea with no option to safe the ball.

Mason Greenwood had put Manchester United ahead with a superb strike in the 19th minute before Tielemans' strike that levelled the game for the Foxes. The first half ended 1-1.

In the second half, Ayoze Perez and Paston Daka replaced Maddison and Kelechi Iheanacho in the 73rd and 77th respectively, and quickly made their introductions count as they propelled Leicester to their second of the game following Söyüncü's strike in the 78th minute, giving Leicester the lead for the first time in the game.

Rashford who replaced Jadon Sancho levelled the game for United in the 82nd minute, but Perez produced another assist in the 83rd minute that helped Jamie Vardy to a brilliant strike.

Paston Daka round it off in the stoppage time with a tap-in to take the scoreline to 4-2 in favour of the Foxes.

Cristiano Ronaldo was also in action for the entire game time, but failed to recuse Manchester United in the six-goal thriller, he was left frustrated after the game.

At the end of the entire game time, it's Leicester City 4-2 Manchester United, so it ended at the King Power Stadium in premier league matchday 8 on Saturday.
