Serie A: Osimhen double secures vital win for Napoli, as they go top again

By Emmanuel Oladele - Napoli are back on top of Italian Serie A courtesy of their brilliant performance against Sampdoria on Thursday night in the league matchday 5. Victor Osimhen's double propelled the Spalleti led side to a great finish.

The Gli Azzuri opened scoring in the 10th minute of the game through Victor Osimhen, with an extended cross from Insigne, but the Nigerian managed to put the ball into the net.

In the 39th minute, Lorenzo Insigne double Napoli lead with a super strike to take the scoreline to 2-0 in favour of the Blues and to also end the first half.

Nigerian International opened scoring for Napoli again just five minutes into the second half, a close range cross from Lozano help Osimhen to send home a superb shot, leaving Sampdoria goalkeeper Audero with no option on the ball.

The Blues sealed the victory of the night with Piotr Zielinski getting the fourth goal for Napoli in the 59th minute, with another assist from Lozano.

Victor Osimhen got substituted in the 81st minute, replacing him is Adam Ounas.

After the entire game time, it's Sampdoria 0-4 Napoli, so it ended at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on Thursday night in the Italian Serie A matchday 5. Napoli are back on top with 15 points from five games, and they are yet to lose any league game this season.
