NWFL Super 6: How it all started and ended

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super 6 started on Monday 19th of April, 2021, following a halt to the regular season after matchday 13. Top six teams on the log were drawn for Super 6 and Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State was chosen as the venue of the competition.

Below are the top 6 teams that were drawn for Super 6, they are;

• Rivers Angels

• Edo Queens

• FC Robo Queens

• Sunshine Queens

All teams are expected to face each other in a neutral ground, but in a league format, therefore each team played five games.

Congratulations to Rivers Angels, they are the NWFL Premiership Champions. In addition, Rivers Angels Goalkeeper, Ibubeleye Whyte emerged Tournament Best Goalkeeper, as pacy forward Ikekhua Brume top the scorers chart.
