Benin 0-1 Nigeria: Super Eagles show class in AFCON Qualifier win

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Saturday proved supremacy over their Benin counterparts in an Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier matchday 5 at the Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto-Novo, 1-0 it ended in favour of Nigeria.

The first 45 minutes ended goalless and likewise the second 45 minutes, but Paul Onuachu header in the added minutes separated both teams and ended Benin unbeaten home run since eight year.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria dominated the entire game, but no thanks to the bad pitch that prevented the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Zaidu Sanusi from doing more of their regular activities.

After the entire game time, it's Benin 0-1 Nigeria, so it ended in AFCON Qualifier on Saturday.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are through to 2022 Total Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, even before the game against Benin, the Gernot Rohr led side qualified following the 0-0 draw between Lesotho and Sierra Leone on Saturday afternoon.
