Napoli Provides Updates About the Health of Victor Osimhen

By Olamide Oyetunji - Italian Serie A club Napoli have provided an update about Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen after the unfortunate head injury he suffered.

Victor Osimhen was rushed to the hospital after a collision with Cristian Romero in Napoli’s 4-2 defeat to Atalanta in Sunday’s Serie A game.

According to Napoli through their website, the former Lille forward will return to Naples on Monday.

"Victor Osimhen is due to return to Naples on Monday evening after staying in Bergamo overnight as a precaution. 

"The club and doctor Canonico would like to thank the Atalanta medical staff, the resuscitation team at Gewiss Stadium and the A&E staff at the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital for their professionalism. 

"The player will be undergo further assessment on Tuesday"
