WAFU U17: Cote D'Ivoire beat Nigeria to win title

By Emmanuel Oladele - The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria on Monday night were defeated by their Ivorians counterparts in WAFU U17 Tournament final, 2-3 it ended in favour of Cote D'Ivoire.

The Baby Elephants were 3-0 up before the Eaglets scored two quick late goals to earn a fair result.

Nigeria won the tournament two years ago but Cote D'Ivoire have dethroned the Eaglets to become Champions.

Nigeria and Cote D'Ivoire are both through to the U17 Africa Cup of Nations which will hold in Morocco in March.

Congratulations to Cote D'Ivoire, they are the Champions of the WAFU U17 Tournament.
